Lizard brain love
There are 2 kinds of people: One kind “falls” in love, the other kind change their perception until they are in love. Never the twain shall meet. I never believed the falling in love bit, but equally others don’t believe it’s possible to make oneself love someone.
sub-manic
recently i have been thinking a lot about how i’m driven more than most, to the point of being sub-manic.
on the upside:
- increased physical and mental activity and energy
- heightened mood, optimism and self-confidence
- decreased need for sleep without experiencing fatigue
on the downside:
- little patience
- transient interests
- transient acquaintances
the jury (me 🙂 is still out on whether this is good or bad, it really depends on the particular circumstances. i have found that these character traits make me more difficult to handle for others, and conversely, i rip through new acquaintances at a quick pace, and often drop them after a few months.
i’m slackware
and there i thought i was a slacker. close.
