Data from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) suggest the discovery of ancient springs in the Vernal Crater, sites where life forms may have evolved on Mars

Phoenix epitaphs
Here rests a science mission sent by the people of Earth, that we might start to know this world as we know our own.
Mars Snow
Nothing like this view has ever been seen on Mars, We’ll be looking for signs that the snow may even reach the ground.
Fusion propulsion
1200 people on Mars for the cost of a few Apollo landings
The path forward is to use regenerative (breeding) of isotopes that emit more protons for positron emissions. This regenerative approach will enable full scale antimatter catalyzed deuterium fusion propulsion. The Deuterium fusion propulsion will be able to achieve performance like other deuterium fusion rocket designs which is up to 10% of lightspeed and 100K+ ISP to millions of ISP

Virgle
For 1000s of years, the human race has spread out across the Earth, scaling mountains and plying the oceans, planting crops and building highways, raising skyscrapers and atmospheric CO2 levels, and observing, with tremendous and unflagging enthusiasm, the Biblical injunction to be fruitful and multiply across our world’s every last nook, cranny and subdivision. An invitation. Earth has issues, and it’s time humanity got started on a Plan B. So, starting in 2014, Virgin founder Richard Branson and Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin will be leading 100s of users on one of the grandest adventures in human history: Project Virgle, the first permanent human colony on Mars.
how many years before this is not a prank anymore.
Mars Library
Since The Planetary Society’s disk should last for centuries on Mars, we hope astronauts at some future date will enjoy the visionary works we have sent in this first Martian library
Mars Mountain Biking
The race will be to the top and back down the 24 kilometer peak of Olympus Mons with a grand prize of $50B for the first participant to complete, and a consolation prize of $10B for the fastest ride time within a given 10 year period.
Mars Dust Storm

For nearly a month, a series of severe Martian summer dust storms has affected the rover Opportunity and, to a lesser extent, its twin, Spirit. The dust in the Martian atmosphere over Opportunity has blocked 99% of direct sunlight to the rover, leaving only the limited diffuse sky light to power it. Scientists fear the storms might continue for several days, if not weeks.
i was just wondering how long those rover tracks would last.
Rover Tracks

how come images from mars only taken weeks ago are up faster than terrestrial data?
Google Mars?
stunning imagery indeed calls for google mars.
