Midtown Lunch
So here’s the deal… if you work in an office, then you know how lazy people are when it comes to lunch. And nowhere is that more true than in Midtown Manhattan. 1 block in either direction is about as far as most people will go, and usually it’s just for a crappy, overpriced salad or sandwich. I’m not one of those people. To me, lunch hour is sacred- and I’m not going to waste it in some generic overpriced “deli” (unless it doubles as an all you can eat buffet.) This site will hopefully be a place for you to find the gems in a sea of duds, wherever it is your work.
Blackwater and Rob
Until now everything on the web about Blackwater has been written about by others. My purpose is to add their story and their face to the larger debate of the complex or Messy World that we live in.On this blog, I will not rant or make counterpoints to every new attack or rumor. I will do our best to show you who they are and what they do. I will do my best to show you the reality of the world that they have to work in. I will do my best to be fair and broadminded.
rob is addressing the scapegoating of blackwater.
Fake Ed Parsons
People often ask me “Ed, how is it possible to be a geovisionary and a great manager at the same time?” But that’s not what I want to talk about today. Many of you are also curious about what I do with my 20% time. In the beginning as I got to know my place at the top in Google my 20% time was what you mortals call ‘Saturday’ but these days Uncle Ed sets aside the time to think the thoughts required of a geovisionary.
heh.
Life as a Healthcare CIO
kinda painful to read, and it arguably doesn’t get much better infrastructure wise than at harvard medical. i shudder to think what kind of clunky, expensive and slow “systems” they use at lesser hospitals..
